If you tried to find information on wedding checklist on the Internet, you would have found 224,000 answers. This is nothing compared with the number of answers about weddings: 293 million! It seems like the whole world is getting married, or at least involved in the wedding business. And there is no doubt that this is an enormous business.

For many people, organizing a wedding will be the single largest organizational challenge of their lives. This, of course, can also mean a great deal of stress. Much of what is necessary for successfully organizing an event of any sort is a well thought out checklist. Otherwise you could spend much of your time in abject confusion.

Some people are naturally ‘the list’ people, and they make lists for groceries, for daily chores, for family birthdays and everything else. Others go through life trying to cope with forgotten items in grocery stores, or lost documents like passports or birth certificates. Considering the amount of stress an average wedding might create, ‘list people’ would do much better.

A wedding checklist should include all those details that you are particularly interested in, like wedding invitations, venue, dress, food at the party, and all those details you may not have thought about, like music, flowers, clothes for after the wedding, and bridesmaids’ dresses. The list of things to arrange is enormous, but, fortunately, you are not on your own. Look at one of the websites offering advice on the wedding checklists, and find one that is closest to what you need. Going through all the details of an average wedding is a daunting task for one person, so enlist help. Maybe your best friend can help you. Or you could ask some friend that recently got married and still remembers all those things that she forgot and lived to regret.

Your wedding dress is probably very high on your wedding checklist. It takes time to go through all those magazines that boggle the mind with ideas, and then find a tailor who can make something you saw. However, that is indeed an option. Or you can go and visit shops selling ready-made wedding dresses to find the right one. In any case, if you buy your dress early, you have to make sure that you do not gain weight before the big day. This is no small task. You will be under a lot of stress, and people under stress eat, especially sweets.

Don’t forget that you are supposed to enjoy yourself at your own wedding. If you can, let someone else do the wedding checklists and all the organizing. Hiring a wedding planner is not always outrageously expensive, and can allow you to concentrate on things that matter. After all, you want to be beautiful and radiant for all the wedding photos.
